Teacher of the Year

Teachers nominate fellow teachers for this distinction based on the teacher's ability to make learning relevant and interesting, the ability to meet individual student needs, showing dedication to the teaching profession and desire for professional growth, having outstanding rapport with students, staff and parents, and playing an active and useful role in the school and community.

The foundation recognizes the teacher of the year with a gift of $500 to use in the classroom for innovative and creative teaching techniques which benefit the students at Canton Public Schools.
